Later that same day I had an experience I can only describe like this … I felt as though someone had reached out to me, in my mind, tapped me on the shoulder and caused me to look back to that moment in my day. As realisation set in, tears welled in my eyes. Not a flood of hopelessness, like in the church car park, but in fact the opposite, a tsunami of hope.

Today I was reminded once again that God is so close to me and is interested in every small detail. He knows my heart and how it might break. He knows all things before they happen and He has me safely in the palm of His hand. He is a God of the details.

It started with a rainbow and we all know rainbows are preceded by a storm. This was the storm that birthed my rainbow. This was the point where God stepped in and asked, “Now can we try it my way?”

It was the end of the school year and everyday seemed to have a demand on me. I had spent time planning and reviewing the days to come, was I ahead of the game?

It is bright and beautiful and holds a deep personal place in my heart.
